Taipei has more of a Christmas feel this year, and I almost didn’t notice it. I was resigned to the fact that people just don’t get it - the shopping for others - the cold nights outside - the decorations - the singing. I was pleasantly supprised that people are starting to celebrate Christmas.

I don’t care as much that people dont believe in Christ here, is that all that the season is about? Sure Santa Claus can stand for commericalism, but there is a general feeling of giving and sharing this time of year that trancends religion.
